It’s been a long time since last post, but Marion has been busy messing around! She went to Sea World in San Antonio for the second time at the end of November. Here are some nice pictures!
We went out to our blueberry spot near Granåsen ski park on August 2, 2008. First, mamma showed her how to pick the blueberries off the bush and put them in the container.
Then Marion took over.
She loved picking the blueberries. It was exactly the kind of task she enjoys right now — picking up small things and putting them into containers.
Marion’s grandma and grandpa from the US came to visit in June 2008 for two weeks.
Grandma & grandpa got to eat waffles the Norwegian way
and ride on a ferry in the fjord
We got to ride on the old train near Orkanger.
And we got to go on a new train to Steinkjer and do some sightseeing. We won’t mention what happened with coffee cup later…
Here’s Marion at the Egge Museum’s farm. She was fascinated by the chickens because her first animal sound was “gauk, gauk” — which came from the ducks on Peppa Pig and is the sound all birds make.
Playing with grandma and grandpa was lots of fun! We hope they can come visit us again soon.
While in San Antonio, Marion was baptized at her grandparent’s Lutheran church.
And Marion had her first experience making dyed Easter eggs with the help of her grandma. She dropped a few on the floor, but at least hard-boiled eggs only crack instead of running all over!
And Marion’s aunt Allison gave her lots of nice summer dresses. Marion wore one of them at home a couple of weeks later. Isn’t she cute?!
Marion really likes playing with Mumford. She thinks its fun to tug on things like wrapping paper, bows, and dishtowels with him. Here are some select photos of the two troublemakers.
And here is a video of Mumford trying to lick Marion. We gave up saying, “Don’t lick the baby.”
Marion started day school (barnehage in Norwegian) on January 3, 2008. She instantly went for the drawers — she loves opening any kind of drawer to take things out of it.
She met some of the other children and one of her teachers, Tina. The children in her class, which is named Kirsebærlia, are up to 3 years old. Marion is the youngest in her class right now.
And she explored the Kirsebærlia room for a while.
What exactly do toddlers think about when they are playing with things? Obviously, Marion is having a heart-to-heart conversation with a pink blanket in this video…
